The answer is YES. Flystrike

The answer is YES.

Flystrike in the UK can only refer to the common housefly or particularly Blowflies, that lay their eggs on exposed skin where the animal cannot reach, but particularly on wounds or body openings. Any living creature can be affected - even humans. The eggs develop into larvae or maggots to be more explicit, which gobble on the wound or affected area and make it into a festering big sore which if untreated can be very serious and even fatal in extreme cases.

The flies can lay eggs in messy corners of cages and it is not nice to clean out a cage only to find a load of maggots in the corner.

If you are lucky enough to be inundated by spiders webs, leave them alone, they are excellent fly traps and spiders love them.

Don`t be too puzzled as to why these flies exist. Mother Nature invented them to act as natural dead body clean-up agents, but never intended them to practice their skills on living things. I guess the little buggers just cannot find enough corpses to bring up their young on.

Xmas my dear friend, I am not

Xmas my dear friend,

I am not knowledgeable, just some old guy who has bummed around this Planet so much that if it can bite, I have been bitten and if it can go wrong - it has.

A kind of battle scarred veteran of many wars, plus a very good qualified education in several scientific and mathematical subjects. A kind of "Brain of Britain" Alf Garnett and Victor Meldrew mix of indisputable but educated facts and figures that would even shame Abert Einstein and which places my opponents in  state of mental paralysis.

Strategy - If ya can`t beat `em - confuse `em.
