Hamster ill ? Or just a leak ?
My hamster has drank half of his bottle of water ( as far as I know ) in one day . It wasn't hot , it can't be any stomache problems , start of wet tail or pregnany (he can't have babies obviously ) and his droppings show that he may actually need more fresh food in his diet (unless hamster droppings naturally dry , do they do this ?) or was it just a leak in the water bottle ? The water bottle is small ,but considering his size , his drank quite a lot , or was it just simply that it leaked ?
Is the hamster hot, or near a radiator?
If your hamster keeps this up, make sure you are giving her a diabetes test (maybe every 3 months) regualrly, just in case.
Thanks you lot , this really helped ! samsam my hamster isn't hot , but is near a radiator but the house is really cold even with it on and sorry everybody if I haven't confirmed this , but I think he is a he (a male ) . He's a male as far as I know .
I can say from experience that you should be careful of radiators even if the room appears cool, in my case it was having cast iron radiators that caused the problem because they stayed hot for a long time after the heating went off.

I would get the ketosis sticks and test her urine for diabeties (sorry for the c*rap spelling) It could be a number of things. drinking water, maybe she is pregnant? If she is drinking alot of water than normal, maybe she is dehydrated, or pregnant, because her hormones will be all over the place. I hope this helps a bit. I would monitor it and take her to the vets.
