I would very much like to get a birdie in my home, but I have a cat. I am aware that the two species are mortal enemies and this is why I do not have a bird yet. I kept bird feeders in my yard for quite some time, and had humming bird feeders at the window, but my cat totally freaks out when a birdie comes to eat from the feeder. So it looked like I should probably skip the “bird in the house” thing. I am wondering if any of you has this experience. I know it may be cruel for both the kitty and the new birdie, so maybe I should hold back on this one. Is a larger bird the answer? Or is there a bird that will get used to the cat?

 Yeah, you should probably

Yeah, you should probably not get a birdie; it would be terrified of the cat. Keeping bird feeders in the yard or at the windows can compensate your wish to connect with the winged creatures.
