Have you thought about contacting the RSPCA or Trading standards to voice your concern?

My god it makes me sick do people actually ring this bloke for his stud dogs then i am still in two minds on whether to breed sasha but the more i research the worse it gets and this has took the biscuit if i were to find a stud for sasha i would want to see that the dog was healthy hip scored etc etc and would want to meet them i know there are people out there who obviously dont give a shit about animals but to then advertise there dogs in such a poor state is shocking.

That's just awful like you say something should be done. Perhaps RSPCA would be the best bet.

Unfortunately the UK Kennel Club doesn't do a lot. It is interested in getting money off you, and as long as your dog's parents are registered with them, the puppies will be registered end of story. They have a rule about not registering a litter born to a bitch within 12 months of the previous one, but (a) people cheat as you don't have to prove which bitch you used if it is yours and (b) most "backyard breeders" tell the public its not necessary if you want it as a pet so they don't get registered at all! The KC do not insist on any health checks. Nor do people become members as a matter of course therefore they are under no obligation to behave in a certain way. I had puppy buyers coming to me saying they had seen a litter in appalling conditions and no health checks, but the breeders were "members of the Kennel Club". I explained that it was most likely they had simply registered the puppies and handed the money over.

Anyone familiar with the German system may like to explain it to the rest of us, it was briefly outlined to me but I am not sure of all the details - except that ANY breeding stock has to be assessed for suitability and health before it is allowed to be bred from.

I have sent them an email the site itself not the owner as that would probably end in police kicking my door off and siezing my pc. I will let you know what the reply is.

I can't see the pictures of the dogs, but it makes my blood boil as well, as if there aren't enough homeless dogs in this country of 'dog lovers' without bringing more poorly bred dogs into it....digusting.

I highly doubt the RSPCA will do anything, you'd need to see the dogs firsthand, know the address and report them. Even then its questionable if anything would be done. I have little faith in the RSPCA as they are bound by rules set down 100 years ago, which is pathetic, if children rights were the same as back then, they'd be uproar, but hey its only animals.
