Most of you will probably know, but for those who don't know - Chocolate is extremely toxic to dogs.
Even a small amount could be lethal.
Please read up on the following link if you are unsure:
Remember to place all Easter Eggs and other chocolate goodies (if you haven't eaten them!) out of your dogs reach.
Hope you all have a nice Easter Weekend.

This link explains more about why we shouldn't give chocolate to dogs. Although I'm sure eating a very small amount occasionally will not have any ill effects to most dogs, but it does give them a "taste" for it and leaves them wanting more .

I believe to be true, human chocolate can be given to dogs, providing you don't over do it. Say you have a chocolate button packet, they could have a couple, its not going to exactly kill them or harm them! Obviously don't give them a whole bar of chocolate to themselves otherwise then it could easily, but a tiny, tiny ammount is fine. Dogs can eat worse and be perfectly fine Theres a line between being sensible and going too far, as long as its not all the time, more like once in a while, though obviously there are doggie chocs in shops and things that are better suited for our pooches and they should be bought for them instead. I have a small Jack Russel/Westie sized dog, and when he was a bit younger, he downed at least 3/4 Terry's Chocolate Oranges from a bag in my mums room, while we were out. He was very ill that night with vomitting, but that was the worse that happened to him, and all the food he eats a day is half a can of meaty food with a handful or two of dry mixer because thats what he had before we adopted him and any more makes him sick. Considering my dog is 14 now and we've had him since he was about 5, he's always had a little bit of chocolate now and again and he's been fine
