Firstly upload a photo to our photo galleries as per instructions here:-

once you have uploaded a photo find it in the albums but dont click on it to show the large photo, instead right click on the small photo and choose the properties option at the bottom, this will display some info about the photo including the Address(URL) of the photo. Highlight and Copy this address which will be something like http://www.petchat.co.uk/modules/Photo_Gallery/albums/dogphotos/August_128.thumb.jpg (make sure it has the thumb bit at the end to signify its the small photo)
then click on the forum Profile link either on the navigation menu on the left or the Big Profile button above the forums
scroll down and click on the Edit Signature button about half way down
click the IMG button to enter the following into the bottom text box [img][/img] then simply paste the address you copied earlier into the gap between them i.e.
