Deccy was runner up in the Group last week and two professional photographers took our pic with the judge and the winner. As both have websites, I have been looking for the pic on the internet but nothing yet.
It seems that one of the photographers was from a certain dog paper so the pic may well appear in that, for the entire world to see me looking like a fat bag lady and Deccy will probably be standing all wrong as he does at critical moments Shocked
Not everyone is on the internet so I thought I may be spared the embarrassment of being on show to the whole world .... but apparently not Shocked Embarassed
My landlord wants a copy of the dog paper but he just loves Deccy Cool
Why can't I have moments of fame when I am (a) at least 5 stone lighter (b) smiling and (c) have combed my hair Sad

Thanks - we've won three Groups this year and now twice runner up, but the wins were at smaller shows on the West Coast. This was a Dublin show where there are much bigger entries and higher standard and this is the first time we've even been placed at a Dub show so I was very pleased.
Never met the judge or even heard of him but he is going on my "approved" list! Very Happy

Had an email today from a friend in the UK, says I am in DW this week complete with pic! Shocked
I thought it would appear in the ICP which is the Irish dog paper but I think they are part of DW anyway.
If anyone has time to look through the current DW to see if they can "spot" Deccy, please let me know - at least I'll know it's not a wind up then! Embarassed May be under "Minority Breeds Show Dublin".
Please put me out of my misery!

Someone on another forum has scanned it and posted it in response to my query there too Shocked It's the Minority Breeds Charity Open show in Dublin, pic is of Utility Group winner (a Shiba) on the left and me & Deccy on the right with the judge standing in between us. It's in DW, they used to run an "Irish" section so it could be under that.
At least I know it's true now! Shocked Cool

I was looking for a dally with Polidot in it's name lol!

Ah.... I gave up "Polidot" when I came to Ireland two years ago, now have "Granardal" under both Kennel Clubs (luckily), Deccy is Leaveslake True Lies at Granardal.
Polo still has Polidot after his name (so did Polly) hence the confusion, sorry Embarassed

I thought the "see me looking like a fat bag lady and Deccy will probably be standing all wrong as he does at critical moments" would be a bit of a clue Laughing

Now I'm fascinated! One may be Louisa Casey who went BPIS at the same show as us, (but she is tall and slim and always immaculate) I would probably know the other two as well. A friend is sending me the paper once she has finished reading it, so I will be able to see!

Thanks for that - all UK people that I used to know, one comes over to Ireland regularly though. Shame that Louisa isn't in, for getting BPIS.
Still, it's been a nice Christmas surprise for me! Very Happy
I sent a text to Deccy's breeders but they haven't got DW yet .... hope they're pleased.

Hi Colliemad,
I do all Irish (ROI - under the Irish Kennel Club) Champ shows there are more here than in the UK, plus a few in the north (NI) and Crufts. It's very expensive to come over to Britain so I'll wait until Deccy is a Champion before I have a go over there.
I showed in the UK for 10 years before I moved to Ireland, I find it a lot more friendly and enjoyable over here. The Champ shows are nearly all on a Saturday or Bank Holiday and one day events, including obedience and agility and some of them so it's a good day out with plenty to watch.
