my dog baron will eat jellyfish if he can get to them , can anybody tell me why he does that, he's in a terrible mess if he gets hold of one but still tries to go for more, can't go on the beach now because of it?

Instead of letting him run into the ocean, try putting him on a very, very long leash, so that he has enough room to run around, etc., but so that you can give a tug on the line when he tries to go in the water. You can buy these leashes from lots of stores, but sometimes a long piece of washing line works (although, you have to be more careful with it).

As for why he does it, I can't say. Is he a hunting/retrieving breed? Sometimes they can have a tendency to attack things that float in water; my aunt recently had a problem with her dog attacking ducklings, so she followed a friends advice and put her on a long piece of twine. Apparently, after 3 months it still works!
