Lost Pets - Sylvester has disappeared! sweetieangel176 - Thu Feb 22, 2007 9:11 pm Post subject: Sylvester has disappeared!
Hi!
I really don't know what to do, my cat has gone missing and i'm desperate to find him. He went out Sunday morning and hasn't been back. I've asked neighbours, searched everywhere, crawled through bushes and no luck. I've been in a right state about it all day, I just want the little munchkin to come home. He has two homes so i visited them but he hasn't been seen there since Saturday and theyre worried to. Any ideas how i might be able to find him or what might have happened? I'm fearing theft as another cat is also missing atm and he is sooo pretty, pure silver with such a lovely personality. Thanks

Sorry to hear that Sylvester has gone missing. Had you thought about putting up some printed notices with his picture or just a description. Ask people to have a look in their sheds and garages. Good luck, I hope he turns up - it must be a very worrying time for you. sweetieangel176 - Thu Feb 22, 2007 9:31 pm Post subject:
Thankyou. Ive checked sheds and garages and asked others too and I'm going to put up posters over the weekend if he isn't home. I've spent hours calling his name and he just won't come. I burst into tears at school today and someone had the cheek to say "oh dont worry its only one cat, youve got others", what a comment to make

Do you have a local shop or post office where you can put up a card or a poster?

Sorry to hear about Sylvester, its awful when they go missing.
1.Contact all cat rescues in your area
2. Call your concil and ask for the cleansing dept, awful to contemplate but its better to know, if they have picked him up, they keep records.
3. Neighbourhood kids, they are great, ask them to look out for Sylvester.
4. Never give up hope, my cats would go missing for days and come back.

This is just an idea but do you know where your cat likes to go, like did you ever see it while you were out, may have gone beyond

so sorry to hear about sylvester.. is he neutered because i had a moggy years ago that wernt neutered his name was tipsey and he lived everywhere he used to go for weeks on end then come strolling back as if nothing happened, i went looking everywhere too.. then i just left him too his own devices he eventuelly came back.. but i recommened neutering to everyone with cats to prevent straying as its not nice worrying about them 24/7......

So sorry to hear he hasnt came back yet mate i have heard of many people losing there cats for them to return weeks later so don't give up hope just yet and still ring around places and leave a contact number as someone might have kept him a few days then handed him over to vets rspca etc.

I've left numbers and searched high and low. Everyone at home is giving up hope and they just expect me to forget he exists. I've walked miles looking, im determined that i'm gonna find him. Everyone is telling me to go and do homework but how am i meant to even try and concentrate without him curled up next to me or chasing my pen everytime I try and write. His sister is here but its not the same

Hey Hun
NEVER give up hope, my neighbours moved house and katy escaped after a week of them being there, she was gone for 9 months and one day wandered in bold as brass with a new collar looking very please with herself.

Thanks, I'm just gonna have to keep hoping and praying until he comes come. For now I can't keep putting everything on hold so i'm off to do some maths and maybe a lil bit of chemistry because somehow i don't think my teachers will except "my cat is missing" as an excuse for late hwk. Thanks

HE'S BACK!
I've been away for the past week and when I got home he was here. My parents say her returned on the early hours of Easter Sunday, exactly eight weeks to the day he left. He is a complete state, cuts and bald patches with matted fur but he is ok. He's going to be casterated tomorrow, no way am I losing my kitty again. Thanks for all support, im off to fuss him some more x

Great news, I am so glad you have got him back. He will be fine after he recovers from his little op!! And no more wandering!!
