Yep Lucy my lab is fed on Autarky. She looks very good on it weight wise and lovely coat, good poos etc.

What do you want to know? You thinking of feeding it?

Hi Linzi
Thanks for reply have heard mixed reviews about Autarky but would like to feed it my fussy staffy.
Good to hear your Lab is doing fine on it, how long have you been feeding Autarky?

I did feed Autarky for a while.....It's fairly cheap, it was easily available and the dogs looked good on it.....A bit too good in the case of my Lab though...I found it made her put on weight really easily Rolling Eyes ......Anyway I switched to JWB and all dogs are happy and the right weight now . Wink

We also used Autarky for 2 months ( 2 bags 2 dogs) but although good value for money at £10 per bag from Costco, Maia's stomach started to disagree with it.

We switched back to our other dried food. Very Happy

my fussy staffy

Its funny you saying that. When we changed Lucy onto Autarky, i encouraged my sister to change her fussy staffy too. Very Happy Turns out she had been feeding him far too much and that was why he wasn't eating it, he wasn't hungry!

My reasons for feeding Autarky are:
Its not tested on animals
The ingredients are good (No meat derivatives used only proper meat meal)
Very closeby Supplier (have a look on the website for suppliers)
Good price.
Lucy likes it! Very Happy

If you want to change to Autarky, give it a try and change over gradually from your current brand of food. If it agrees with him keep it.

Also a tip out a few drops of hot water over the food before you give it to him, it will smell tasty. And look on the bag for the recommended amount to feed, and stick to it even though it may look a tiny amount.

You can also try emailing Autarky for a sample. Very Happy

Hi Nelson I have just switshed to Autarky from Bakers due to colourings etc as he is a bit hyper after meals.
Its too early to say but its natural and the price was very fair for a natural product.
