Hi all,

As I am sure you are all aware, Julie and Dave have had a hectic few months and with the wonderful arrival of little Isabella and their forthcoming house move their time has become even more precious. To this end I am now helping out with their sister site, www.furbabies.co.uk soooooooo..........

Hi, my name is Kaye and I am now a Furbabies rep Laughing

I am still learning the ropes mind and thought I would do well to get some input from our customers.

We are looking at expanding our stock - so what would you like to see in Furbabies? Different toys, training aids, collars/leads or beds? Rolling Eyes

Why don’t you let me know on this thread and we will look into all your suggestions. Once researched for availability etc we will initially pick maybe the top ten most requested items and add them to the shop and go from there. Also, don’t forget that members are entitled to a 5% discount at Furbabies so your chosen products could be even cheaper. Laughing

Your input and ideas on this would be greatly appreciated and I look forward to reading your thoughts. Very Happy

Many thanks

Kaye

Absolutely, i couldn't agree more - unfortunately i would have no idea what people would want for their smaller pets - hence my post Laughing

So, what small pet items exactly did you have in mind that you would like to see?

Hiya Kaye,

I haven't got any suggestions for any more products, but I have got a suggestion for ones I would like to see removed from sale...and that is the Anti Bark and Spray Collars.

I feel these could easily be misused, to the detriment of the dog. These Collars, in my opinion, should only be sold by dog trainers who can give advise on how and when to use them, rather than the general public being able to just be able to use/misuse them willy nilly.

I of course realise you are not the only site selling them, but as such a caring company I would like to see you review your policies on supplying these to the general public.

Thank you.

how about some more choices of treats, maybe some health stuff eg. Pedigree dental sticks or a big bag of biscuit bones.

I usually have to travel about an hour each month to get Calvin's Pedigree dental sticks Sad Mad Sad

Hi Jules,

I fully understand where you are coming from.

I do agree that these collars can be misused and in the wrong hands cause more harm than good however in a controlled and knowledgeable environment these collars can assist both the owner and dog. What CAN be done (and is often the case when this topic is brought up) is make sure people are aware of the issues with using these devices and make sure that they seek professional advice before taking this route.

The collars available at Furbabies only spray scented water and we never have, nor never will stock shock collars as we do not agree with them at all. Furbabies only stocks humane, non damaging training aids ie audible and water / smells deterrents and aids to training all of which are completely painless to the pet.

I’ll look into the possibility of adding some information to their descriptions in Furbabies to ensure that people have sought professional advice before making the purchase. If we were to remove these items from sale they will simply be bought elsewhere without any warnings about the effects of their misuse.

Does that sound like a sensible approach? Rolling Eyes

Lisa,

I shall look into books and i am already looking into the posibilty of a larger range of doggy treats Laughing

Regards

Kaye

That sounds like a wonderful idea Kaye Very Happy . Perhaps a fact sheet could be supplied with these collars too, alongside any instructions inside the box. Wink

Decent sized cages for smaller animals. It took me ages to get a mansion for my indoor bunny. Giant sized small animal holdings I say are the way forward!
