A question when keeping chickens do you have to have a rooster with hens for them to lay?
Do you have to keep a rooster?

No you don't want a rooster in with the hens for them to lay, unless you want to crack an egg and have a chick drop into your frying pan! (don't laugh I've heard of it happening). Plus roosters are difficult to keep and fairly bad tempered!
Point of lay pullets, all female, will do the job nicely.
