I have 2 female sisters called Rumpy and Stumpy ( she is called stumpy as she only has 3 legs, rumpy got her name simply beacuse it rhymes with Stumpy Laughing

)

I also have 2 males called Archie and Reggie, Archie is Rumpy and Stumpy's younger brother. Very Happy

Hi caz

They are resonably easy to look after. However when it comes to the vets they do need to see one who specialises in exotics, so its best to make sure that there is a vet like this near by before getting some. Thier diet is important, im in the process of gradually changing my chins diet but it has to be done gradually as they have very sensitive digestive systems. Charnwoods chinchilla pellets are probably the best out there but im having to get my online as i can't find it anywhere in the shops. They also have to have hay daily which helps keep thier teeth from overgrowing.

They require a sandbath at least 3 times a week to prevent thier fur from getting greasy. Cage wise, i always say to people that they should always be keept in a wire mesh cage that has a wire mesh bottom as this prevents thier fur from getting covered in urine etc. The cage should always have wooden shelves, never mesh ones. They require alot of exercise but idealy should only be let out when they are awake as they tend to get grumpy when woken Laughing

They dont like to be groped all the time either so for young children i wouldn't reccommend them as pets to be honest. Also they must be kept in a cool room as they are prone to heat strokes. This is because they dont sweat, the only way they lose heat is throught their ears.

This probably seems alot to take in but overall they are fairly easy to keep. If you want any more info just ask hun, im happy to help Very Happy

Oh also its best to keep them in groups of at least 2 as they love company Wink
