Post subject: Hi!
Hi I am new to the forum. I have a West Highland White Terrior. He is 3 years old. From what I have read about Westies he is typical of his breed. Best thing about him is he likes to curl up on the sofa with me of an evening. Worst thing, he is very terrotorial and barks alot when in the garden. I am very consious of this especially in this great weather as I dont want to upset my neighbours. Would love to hear your thoughts on this. Laughing

Hi welcome to petchat Very Happy

I have a german shepherd that barks at practically everything he sees or hears but luckily for me my neighbours don't mind at all. The best thing to do is just to ask your neighbours if they think he is to noisey, at least then you know how they feel.

Hi, welcome to Petchat. I had a previous dog that used to bark a lot, and I solved this by teaching himm to 'speak' and only giving him a treat when he did this and ignoring him when he barked otherwise. However I'm not sure that this will solve your problem. Worth a try Smile
