Only thing I can suggest is training the dog to be alone, but this will take time.

Tale your dog for a long walk, and give lots of affection. Leave a radio etc on, leave some toys, food, water etc ...

Thanks but it's not really bad news is it? He is still as loved as he always was - probably more seeing as he has problems. He is actually quite amusing, and so so loving.
