I would never stick any of my rats in a ball. I hate them.
Wouldnt even stick a hamster in one.
Its not really giving them any freedom anyway because their

I dont know what ya feed them but
Meat makes their poo stink and cheese makes their wee
stink so if your feeding them either of them then id advise
ya to stop  |

ive had alot of rats and never really had a problem
with them stinking so bad i have to clean em out more
than once a week (unless im imune to the smell lol).
I have 4 boys now and they dont smel ... |
