hi ive just joined just wonderin im buying a dane in a week and have my heart set on a male but have been told females are more loyal any advise?

I have 2 bitches and 1 dog and must say since getting the bitches spayed there as easy as each other Very Happy

Since your going for a dane if are keeping it entire then i would go for a dog. When the bitch is in season you got more mess to contened with than with the smaller breed of dog and harder to control whem she gets that urge but this of course depends on the bitch.

i can only say we went for a male as for the same reason asmr-leo says, having a large breed and coping with a bitch in season could be quite messy. it all comes down to personal preference though

i have gone for the male have never owned a male so hopin for best will be gettin him done thu i have a sharpei which is female and i dont think theyd be a very good mix
