there is a programme on a dutch channel at the moment, it must have already been shown in england. it is about a behavouralist who helps people with problem dogs. anyway he gave me a tip the other day about throwing your dogs food all over the garden so they can have fun whilst they feed. so i tried it with wilson and he loved it. so much so that he kept wanting to go back out just to see if he had missed one of his biscuits. i have thrown food for him before, but only a handful as a treat for him. but he was in his element snuffling round for his whole meal. happy dog!!! ____________

not got that problem, having only the one pooch. do you feed yours seperately then anne? or in different rooms. when i had a multi cat household they just used to have a constant supply of dry food available and just went back and forward nibbling as they wanted...i can never imagine wilson leaving even a crumb (for later). he even goes and checks to see if i have dropped any on my way from the food bin to his bowl. ____________

I always feed mine in different rooms Michelle, its not worth risking the fights They've got use to this though and all go to their designated area's waiting when they hear the food bag come out |

Most days me and my son hide Pennys treats around the house. Then it's a frantic 10mins or so as she goes potty trying to find them all. I think she would've made a good sniffer dog. She also comes in handy if food is dropped on the floor...........save me cleaning up |

i do that occasionally with wilson only problem is nosey, that the more he snuffles the more his saliva glands kick into action...so it can get quite slimy in the house and you have to follow him around with a cloth.outside he can drool to his hearts content. ____________
