We did our usual walk today, on extending leads, down the cart track to the lane, up to the main road, down the lane opposite then back. Deccy is usually soooooo pleased with all the smells around that he trots along with the others and they are constantly criss-crossing so I am always untangling leads.
Well, halfway back, Deccy remembers he is a silly puppy and launches himself into the air, grabbing the tape part of one of the leads and generally gnawing away and grabbing new bits and tangling his feet up in the slack The others ignore him as far as possible! We were almost at the main road today and he was up to high jinks when ping! he had chewed right through his own lead and was free Luckily he stops and comes back when told but I had to double him up with Polly who was NOT amused. My friend appeared in her car so she took Polo back to the house (he never looked back, the faithless animal ) so I only had two to walk but at least we had one lead per dog!
So now, having recently ordered some dog stuff off the internet, I will have to place another order - for a new extending lead The ruined one was, of course, the newest! ____________ Pretty Polly Pavey of Polidot - 06/08/1996 - 13/07/2006 - Dalspa Liquid Gold for Polidot 20/10/1999 - 08/05/2007 - Polly and Polo together again

DECCY IS INNOCENT!
Well this time, anyway!
I unscrewed the handle last night and found that the lead had snapped right on the bit where the clip for the lead is joined on. Only five months old, too!!! That's the last Flexi lead I buy!
