The first time I heard one I wondered what it was The parents of an ex-boyfriend of mine had a chinchilla and that was sweet, although not particularly friendly. Could climb and run at a rate of knots though, very fast! Hiya, i lost the link to the site when my internet provider stole my favourites list and came across the site the other day and thought i'm a member of there so thought i would pop by I have 7 degu's at the moment but the number goes up depending on if i rescue. They are as easy to look after as hamsters and gerbils in my opinion as i have had both, the diet is the hardest part as it needs to be low in sugar but apart from that they make fantastic fun pets.
