I wish i could get chinchillas but whilst i'm living in my mums house im not allowed any more pets... Im quite lucky really though because i do have by two gerbils and a rabbit! Gerbils have sandbaths too and they use chinchilla dust. Arr that must have scared the living daylight out of you seeing stumpy like that! i would've totally flipped! at least she's ok though. thats all that matters! how old are they? Also they dont require a great deal of care, the only need disinfecting once every two weeks, they hardly drink anything, they dont bite much (once in a blue moon actually!) and they are fantastic pets for kids!
