Hiya, i've been training my brothers 9 month pup 4 agility, she is always very keen, full of life and is loving it! however my brother says that when she gets home after we've been training, she lies down for ages, we thought this is normal, because she's been exercising? But to check my bother took her to the vets, who said at her age it wasn't normal, he listened to her heart and said she might have an extra heart beat and that he needs to stop exercising her and bring her back in a month but there's a big risk she wont be able to do agility anymore?? There's kinda 2 problems there, not exercising for a month will drive her insane, and if the problems bad enough to mean no more agility, shouldnt he be bringing her back a lot sooner than that? I love her to bits and care way more about her health than the agility, but i dunno it doesnt seem right seeing as she is so keen at it? do u have any ideas about maybe what else (if anything) could be wrong?? should we maybe get a second opinion from a different vet? Thanks for ur help x

It would be worth having an ecg performed which is relatively easily to do as long as your dog stands still for a few moments - it is painless procedure and will give an idea of how the heart is performing.
