Neo my english setter has been drinking excessively since last night. He is also peeing a lot more (no doubt due to the drinking!!!). We have not changed his diet nor has he had any chocolate. Otherwise he looks a bit sorry for himself, wondering if this is a UTI or if it could be the onset of diabetes, he is 3 years old. Oh one other thing when he moves or gets up he brings up a mouthful or two of water!!! Anyone got any advice?

The excessive drinking is called polydipsia and excessive urination polyuria.
I would advise that you measure his daily intake accurately and collect a urine sample. Do not restrict his water supply. Have a vet examine him - pd/pu can be due to many different things.
He is obviously a young dog so hopefully it will be a simple problem that can be easily treated. Do not delay taking him to the vets for any reason.
