Post subject: Cat Missing, Westhoughton, Bolton Area
One of my cats, Saffie, has been missing for 6 days now.
She is white with blue/grey patches, 8 years old, a very small, slim cat. I have done the usual - checking with neighbours, put her on the Lost lists of local rescues etc. She went missing from the Pungle / Hazeldene area of Daisy Hill in Westhoughton.
If anyone from this area is a forum member and has seen her, PLEASE let me know. Even if the 'worst' has happened, I would rather know than not know.
Thanks
Chinakit

Hello, sorry to hear that your pet is missing, is there any chance that she may have wandered into someone's shed or garage, though I suppose that you have already checked that.
I live on Landedmans and will keep an eye out for her. "Have you put a notice in David Eccles Vets in Daisy Hill"?

keep looking, don't give up. try coming outside early hours in the morning. if she is scared and hungry that is when she will look for food. we had a cat that went missing for weeks, i had done everything possible and had almost given up hope, when an elderly neighbour said she had seen her sat on the wall behind our house at 5 in the morning looking for birds. the rest of the time she was hiding in a disused shed. so don't give up. ____________

Have you had any news yet china, my friends cat always goes missing a few months back it was for a whole week and she was besides herself with worry but then he turned up one tea time a lot fatter so she seems to think some local kids have been taking her home and keeping her aswell as feeding her up. ____________

Oh it's great to hear from someone who lives so close to me. I haven't put a notice in David Eccles window yet, but I will do so. She still hasn't come home yet.
I have done all the usual stuff, asking people to check sheds, contacted all local rescues etc. She is ID chipped but refuses to wear a collar and gets really distressed if I try to put one on her.
I have 5 other cats, most are chipped, but I am going to try to get them all wearing collars and tags too.
You're welcome to visit my menagerie any time.

PS: I once got 2 cats from the Destitute Animals Shelter in Bolton who came from Landedmans. The rescue gave me their vacc certificates and the old address was still on it.
