hi i had my fish for three years and last month i got up and fed them as normal they were all fine three hours later the hole tank was dead they had all they needed pump filters clear water and i never had a prob before i took a water sample town to my local fish storeand they said the water was fine can anything else have caused this its a mistary to me?? Confused

had you added anything new recently, even a new plant or ornament. sometimes dirt can be on shop bought ornaments and plants can carry infections.

Happened to me once, fed fish as usual, hours later they popped it.
But that was my neeces fault, she put a whole mug of orange juice in and they died Sad

But yours could be from ANYTHING litterally, so easy to do.

sorry to bring this topic back up after just over a year but i now know why my fish died. 2 days ago i decided to set up my fish tank again and get some new fish so i cleaned it all out and plugged the filter pump in to see if it still worked it didnt so i changed the fuse still nothing so i took it to be repaired and the man said to me that it had melted inside he asked last time i used it did we get any problems with it i said no i told him that all my fish had died on the same day of a mystery cause and i have'nt used it since he said it had blown up and electricuted my fish thats what killed them and thats why the fillter didnt work anymore i would have never thorght of electricution in a million years now i know to check my fillter pump regulaly

Shocked Shocked Poor fish!
I would never have thought of electrocution either! Thanks for posting that, I think I'll get a new filter actually, mine is quite old now.
