I've just been sitting in the garden with my black Rex bunny (Moley) by my side and giving him a good plucking. He loves it Very Happy . His beautiful summer coat has blown and is now coming out in handfuls. He looks very moth-eaten, as he does this time every year. He's not into grooming himself (typical man Rolling Eyes ). So he sits there munching on a carrot while I pluck and stroke (talk about spoilt Wink ) and I can see his super thick winter coat is coming through already (sooo soft).

I get so much soft fur off him every year I could make a whole new rabbit. Maybe I'll collect it one year and stuff a cushion Wink .

Pandora, my English bunny, gets so jealous, so she had to have a carrot and sit on my lap for a cuddle afterward Rolling Eyes Laughing . Bunnies, eh, and some people think they are just things that live in a hutch at the bottom of the garden....If only they knew.

Jules.

My rabbit Buttons is the same at the moment - she seems to enjoy being groomed.

I beleive the birds welcome the fur and use it to line their nests.
