Had dogs when I was little but since I moved out of my parents I have wanted my own ever since (16 yrs) but time wasn't right. And finally in Jan 06 I got my lovely Kyra, a yellow labrador. I also have a rabbit Percy and I am picking up my toy poodle Luna this saturday! YAY!!!!!!

I have always wanted a dog for as long as I can remember. When I was about 12 my brother and I really started perstering my parents for a dog. My parents agreed to "think" about it after a few years of us nagging and we went to some rehoming centers and looked at bearded collie breeders. After more months of naggin my parents finally said no. I was gutted beyond belief. I would have rather we didnt go and visit all the dogs, it was like torture as we didnt take anyone home with us!
I still want a dog very badly, but the time isnt right. I thought my partner and I could get one when I come back from Japan, but we decided we wouldnt be able to offer it enough time as we will evetually be both working full time and we cant afford a dog walker just yet. Perhaps in a few years we can save up a "dog" fund to save for all the walking expenses! I am so gutted.
But, we are getting the next best thing and we dont have to feel guilty about working full time. We will get two ragdoll cats instead! Maybe rescues, maybe a kitten in aug/sept then another kitten or rescue around xmas. It could go either way!
So, I have been waiting for about ten years so far (and counting!) for my dog! |

Ah beautiful horse pics .......... I've always wanted one of those as well. Too old and crocked now though, but I still love to look at them, they are such superb graceful creatures.
