I personally don't think its right to keep animals like tigers, panters, monkeys and even to a certain extent parrots as 'pets'. They belong in the wild and can never, at least in terms of big cats and monkeys make good pets.

I am also against most animals in zoos, never mind as 'pets'. I am also really against more and more different species being classed as pets such as various rodents, reptiles, birds and mammals such as raccoons, ground hogs etc. I don't get why people have a need to bring in more animals for their own enjoyment......

PS This isn't an attack on anyone, its just my rather, strong opinions as I am an adovcate for letting nature be. Smile

i would love an elephant if i had the space lol.

yes it may not be right to keep wild animals such as big cats etc but, some people r trying their best to keep these animals from being extinct and for new genarations of people to enjoy seeing such wonderful creatures.. yes they should be living in the wild and free from people looking at them but in the wild, they r killed for their fur or because they wander into human territory, its a sad reality and most animals in captivity live twice as long as wild animals...

anyway back to the question yep i would love an elephant because they are just amazing... aww dreaming about owning one now lol

Oh if we are talking complete fantasy pet...then I'd have a Unicorn...or a Pegasus.....still in fantasty world, I've always loved giraffes....Sooo tall and graceful....or a Wallaby...I would really love to raise an orphaned Joey.....To have a Joey in a pouch around my waist for months, would really satisfy all my maternal urges I'm sure. Got mine Wink I always wanted a parrot and now that the time is right, I have a Yellow Crowned Amazon called Mango. I wouldn't have one if I was out at work all day, but I work nights so she probably doesn't realise i'm not there three nights a week Very Happy She's sitting on my shoulder preening my hair as i type Laughing

An American Pit Bull Terrier. I would love to own an APBT, and I would love to own one without ridiculous prejudices and idiotic laws that require the dogs to be muzzled before so they can even leave the front door. Or, indeed, a social necessity to leave by the back door due to the overwhelming ignorance of the general public. Let's throw in a non-existant overpopulation problem and some real ownership laws, while we're at it.

I think I ranted. I would love to have an American Pit Bull Terrier if I could. Laughing

Oh I'm with Jules - a Unicorn! Laughing

If I could I'd have a cat...I'm sure Toby would love it - he always wants to play with the neighbours cats...I think he thinks they're a funny shaped kind of dog. Rolling Eyes One day maybe but not whilst I live in a house co-habitated by my dad who leaves doors and windows open everywhere....nicht gut!!! Rolling Eyes Laughing Rolling Eyes

I'd love to have my own horse of course! I like riding and everything around horses Very Happy

Once I wanted to have a monkey but now I think it's not a good idea, because I don't like looking at animals which aren't in their natural environment.

But we always can dream of keeping wild animals Wink

A dog! That's all I want! A Labrador, or Dalmatian, or GSD. No strange or fantasy animals for me even if we are meant to be using our imaginations here...I just yearn for a dog!!!!
