Karma: 15 Thank Medals: None 2271 PetPounds Items Status: Offline Post subject: The reason he may have dry flaky skin is because of the bathing process itself, as really you shouldn't bath dogs unless you really really have to as it stripes their coats off the natural oils hence the dandruff you are talking about. How often do you bath? Could you not just bath the soiled area? What is he fed? Poor diet can also led to dry flaky skin. If you feed a poor quality food like pedigree, Iams/eukanuba, bakers, winalot etc then chances are that is also contributing to poor skin. You should try switching to a better quality food such as James Wellbeloved which p@h now stock. It would also perhaps be useful giving him 1 oil of evening primrose tablet/capsule a day or getting fish oil capsules from your vet to help boost his skins recovery. Ultimately I'd avoid bathing him again unless directed by your vet with a special shampoo.
