Sad isn't it, how people just discard animals once they become an inconvenience. The cat was a lovely tabby/tortie girl who stayed with us until she died at 18 years of age. When we got her, the lady at the rescue told us she had already been rehomed and returned twice before. The reasons: (a) The neighbours didn't like her (b) She didn't match their carpet, and could they swap her for a ginger? (Guess the answer to this one!) She was the most wonderful cat ever. Makes you really sad, doesn't it? It was possessed by a dark demon!!!!! Sorry but I nearly spat my tea out when I read that! IT was on a forum I said what did you do with thte kitties did you rehome them ......... " no we got rid of them too as there were essence of the demon in them too!!! I did not bite my tongue and went nuts at her for been such a twit!
