Really silly question this, but I am looking at a house that has a steep spiral staircase, its a bit slippy but my main worry is, can dogs negotiate them and do they cause problems later then they are older. ____________ Natalie and Co xxx

Any open back stairs can be a problem to dogs, even more so if they are wooden stairs. You only have to have a manic dog hareing up the stairs - and - whoop la big vets bill. I would consider this very carefully. ____________ Dog: Katie

You'll have to get a doggy Stannah stair lift for Maia and Jack, Nat....I'm sure it won't take you long to teach them how to press the buttons.
But seriously folks...... If you carpeted the stairs Jack would probably be ok....but I think Maia would struggle to bend and go up the stairs with her funny hips. ____________ Jules and the Ark |

Thats what I thought Jules
Maybe we will decline, I have also since found out there is going to be 24 exec houses built too, and so my lovely balcony would overlook a posh estate.
Hmmmm, me thinks that one is off the radar ____________ Natalie and Co xxx

Don't have one in our house, but have stayed in a couple of cottages that have had them.
Kips has attempted both, once only......... and struggled going up and had to be helped down.
Not something I would choose ____________ Joo, Kippa & Stan x
