Meg (border collie) sleeps on her bed beside our bed in the bedroom. She does get up on the bed until we have a cup of tea and digestive biscuit last thing (and of course, the last bit of biscuit is hers), then when we settle down, she gets off and onto her mattress.

She will get up again for a cuddle in the morning, but doesn't sleep on the bed. (Her decision - she could have if she had wanted to, but I think we move too much for her).

my silver spotted cat Casper sleeps in his carry box which is a bit infuriating considering he will not get in the thing when you want to take him to the vets! and the other cat Lola a tortie mix sleeps on the bottom of our bed (has done since we got her as a rescue cat over a year ago) but she sometimes gets fed up of us moving around so I quite often find she is elswhere when I wake up! sorry lola!

I used to let our dog sleep in our room but he started bouncing round the bedroom barking so he got sent to the naughty corner (well its not to bad he sleeps in the kitchen on a big fluffy bed) Cool

Imagine taking a photograph of a dog having a kip! Its an invasion of privacy - those papparazzi! Twisted Evil

Seriously, Honeydlc, I know what you mean about hogging the covers. Our last dog was a collie/lab X (and a bit overweight when she got older) and she slept up the middle of the bed and hogged all the duvet.

We found a good way round it was to get a kingsize duvet on a double bed - several more inches....

Honestly, how sad is that? Buying a bigger duvet to suit the dog??? And she had more beds that we did, and wouldn't have let us sleep in any of them Rolling Eyes

Laughing @ Violette, you're so right, every time I pull out the camera Honey gives me a long suffering look as if to say "not again Mum!"
Especially the time I ordered her some yummy icecream treats from Kyruba, and insisted on her sitting still with the treat while I took about a dozen pics Laughing Look at her face- "can I eat it yet Mum?" Laughing

Hey, honey. I know what you mean about the "Camera" look. We have a brilliant photo of Meg - all bright-eyed, keen, excited - looking right up close at the camera (must get OH to help me post it - me a technophobe).

Problem was, about 2 seconds later, the camera flashed, winked a red light at her, and made a noise.

Scared the life out of her, and for ages afterwards in every photograph she looked like we were going to hammer the life out of her!. Talk about cowed dog begging "please don't thrash me again"! Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Crying or Very sad

It was ages before we got her to relax in front of the camera again. (but as you can see below, we managed it.....)

Well my dear beloved Jack beagle had to get under the duvet - but he did keep my feet warm! He used to get out when he got too hot!!
Archie beagle loves beds too although that was one of the rules for our second dog. But they all just love duvets don't they. Laughing

My dog sleeps in his bed under the kitchen worktop. We developed a rule early on when we got him that he has his evening walk around 10pm and goes straight into his bed and we have one of those dog-gates at the kitchen door, so he can still see out into the hallway but can't get out. He knows he doesn't come out until we get up in the morning and he's been let out in the garden to relieve himself. My dad would go spare if he found the dog in my bed, plus, my dog understands the rule and I wouldn't wanna break into a bad habbit.
