Taken from another forum, please be careful. I am a trainer in the Reigate area and one of my clients had her dog snatched last week, the Reigate police were involved and caught the man. They rang her this week to say that they have caught a gang in the Essex area, there were many pups, labradoodles etc in the farm buildings. They had a micro scanner and had removed the chips from the dogs. They have now got dogs without chips so they cannot identify their owners, so if you know of anyone who has lost a dog/pup recently they might be able to get more details of the dogs being held. The Reigate police were the ones who initially caught the man but because the dogs were found in Essex the Essex police are doing the procecution. My friend had her staffie stolen from out of her back garden. Luckily her son was on his way home and was asked if he knew anybody that wanted to buy a dog. He said he would have a look. It turned out to be his own dog. How lucky was that!
