OMG! Currently we pay £25 a month for gas and £25 a month for electric, just had an estimated bill through saying we owe £206.03,and that our d/d payments for our electric would go up to £82 a month! Anyway being in a pissed off mood because of this i rang up the company, and gave them our meter reading, instead of the estimated one they had. It turns out they over estimated (by a huge amount) our reading, and now turns out we only owe £24.22.

Who does everyone else use for their suppliers? we use southern electric

We use the hydro for electric and have oil heating.

Did you remember to ask them about the price reduction, as they have not put it on the bills that were just sent out - you have to talk to them direct and they are putting a credit on the next bill!! The price for the electric was supposed to come down a bit on the 1st of April!!

Best wishes

I know what you mean, at one point I was paying a DD of £99 combined Gas and Electric.

We switched to Sainsburys who were using Scottish Power, they then decided to use EDF instead!! We were left on Scottish power, however the DD came down to £82 a month, and we are going to switch to them in our new home, they are 33% cheaper than Southern Electric, oh and the rates are coming down again this month and they are capping our charges for 2 years

we use scottish power, however we have pre pay meters for both gas and electric. We only get through £5 of electric each week but the gas is ridiculous in the winter £10 only lasts us 3 to 4 days.
