Sorry to hear the sad news gerbilpunk, You sound really grown up for only 13! I've had gerbils since I was 6 and im 20 now, thats 14 years of gerbil experience lol. My second pair of gerbils were gorgeous little girls who were very shy as they had never been handled in thier previous home. When I was away on holiday I recieved a phone call from my mother explaining to me that one of my gerbies had died suddenly ( they were about 3 though), when I got home my other girl was so quiet and looked depressed for about a week, she hardly ate, never played and slept all day. I tried everything, but I found that letting her have some quiet time to get used to the idea worked best and then i gradually started to talk to her daily and feed her treats off my hand, after about a month she was much more friendlier than she had ever been! ____________ Xx Lucy xX

oh thank you. thats the second time someone has mentioned my age that must have been a real shock to hear when she was dead... i must say, i have been re-taming him and he is looking much better! (his fur's getting a little greasy though! better get the chinchilla powder out!) i was really worried about him at first, because they're my fisrt pair of gerbees, but now he's looking happier, ive relaxed (well a tiny bit anyway!) ____________ Only this crazy guy can understand the true joys in playing with washing...
