It is as he is only 5 onths, westies are born with floppy down ears, and they go up at different rates, depending on th dog, and the face is for two reasons, one he is still young, and his face hasnt filled out completely, and two all westies face's are quite square and long, mainly it is the way they are groomed, and styled, Mac gets clipped on a number 3 all over, as you can see he is in desperate need of clipping at the moment. He is KC registered and was purchased from a reputable breeder, with many champions in his line, i have found some pictures of westies around his age, which i shall email to you later
hope this helps
best wishes

He's cute and definitely a westie. I've been brought up with them. I remember Hamish had one ear flopping forwards and one went backwards!! Rufus on the otherhand didn't have floppy ears for long, and when his ears went upright they looked huge compared to his little face at the time ____________ My Pet Portraits

Thanks folks, didn't realise he was that young, didn't realise that ears did different things as they grew! Dallies are boring as theirs stay the same from birth (except for growing ).
I've learned something new!

Terriers in general, are a very complex group of dog maturity wise, i mean the rough or long haired terriers hair does not grow fully until arounf 1year old, prick eared breeds often have floppy ears until 14 moths sometimnes even longer, and soem of the bull terrier breeds skulls split (i think that is the right way to put it, long time since ive owned staffies )
Mac is a little darling but has one show fault, if he was in the show position which he loves you would all see, he has a little rosette of hair on his left hind leg, that curls and has a dark ring of hairs in the cnetre, my aunti hadnt been told this by the breeder so spent the first four days of owning Mack trying to wash it off!
