I was flicking through the channels this morning (as you do) and came across this programme. I must admit i was fixed on the tv for that whole hour! I love animal programmes and i think that there should be more on telly.

Has anyone else been watching it?

For those who havnt it is on everyday ( i think ) between 10am and 11am. They have a publice appeal to rehome a dog each day and there are lots of different animal related topics! its fab!!!!!!

Was really annoyed with one vet this morning who said dogs can't have chicken bones but can have big joints! What an idiot! Big joints are at best a toy, but can easily break teeth! Chicken bones are fine so long as they are raw, my dogs regulalry eats a raw chicken leg. When cooked they splinter, so am glad he said it, but wish he'd said ALL cooked bones, not just chicken bones.

I had to laugh though, is it really any wonder so many dogs have rotten teeth and breath and there they go recommending more commerical feed which is the flipping cause! My dog is 7 and has cleaner teeth than the average 4 year old and funnily enough is fed raw! Rolling Eyes

l am ranting, sorry, bad mood today! Embarassed

Dont apologise! The first day i saw it one part annoyed me and that was when the police took hold of those six dogs and mentioned that they had been given back to the owners 30 times Evil or Very Mad I mean if a dog is seen suffering the first time it should be at the very least monitered let alone 30 bloomin times Evil or Very Mad

I had a horse dumped in the same field as mine a few years ago. The rspca said they couldnt help me and all the local rescues i knew of were full. The farmer who owned the land was going to have her PTS if no one came up with the rent for her grazing, so me being soft decided to take her on myself. I spent nearly two years regaining her weight and trust in humans. She is now living with a close friend who loves her to bits.

Just makes you wander what happens to all the other dumped horses. And as for gypsie horses that are always chained up with no access to fresh water and living on waste land it realy angers me how the RSPCA just leave them there to die Evil or Very Mad

Hi Guys,

I too have been watching this and was quite shocked when i got a call from the BBC late Tuesday evening asking if we could get them a dog hammock for their live show today......

Well we did it so keep an eye out for it - One lucky dog at Battersea is going to have a lovely nap today Laughing
