Farming is a buisness, and like any other buisness what costs the company additional money goes. Farm animals are not pets, did you see the cow photos I posted? They are part of a dairy herd and their calves were taken from them, and the males were shot why? Because he isn't a meat farmer, so has no use for male calves as they make no money.

If you eat meat, with all due respect, I don't see why you are complaining as animals are killed for food. Wink

your not as bad. We all need to feed and have protien and were do we get that... Meat. I hate to say that but is true Sad

I dont agree with shooting an animal just because its not bringing in money and if u ask me people are money mad and its not on.

A animal should live its life if its 100% healthy and if its not take it to the vet to get 100% but if its really ill you should put it to sleep. I dont agree with shooting a animal.

And it could of been kept as a pet. And that girl on Emerdale is well right for thinking this, Andy shouldnt shoot animals or any farmer. so calvin_ianniello i got ya back on this Very Happy #Big smile big1 big9 big7 big15

forgot to sign out me sisters name ooppps <koolkat>

Farmers are struggling enough due to cheap imported meat, such as beef from Brazil, so its not an option they have and many are still only just recovering after the last foot and mouth outbreak in 2003. Wink Besides, most animals reared for meat don't have a particularly long life anyway, chickens its 48days and I think its 6 months for other larger animals, but don't quote me on that.

I don't agree with it, but then I don't eat meat.

Post subject: Fun Farm Animal Quiz Reply with quote

I just did a fun quiz on the RSPCA's website about farm animals. Some of the answers are really interesting:

Sorry but that's life. As far as Emmerdale goes, I think Andy should get rid of that stupid girlfriend who is going to make him bankrupt if she carries on being useless. She should either get into the farming life properly (including being suitably dressed and not wandering around like a tart) or get out.
If you don't like the thought of killing animals, don't eat meat. If that's the case, then all respect to you for maintaining your beliefs but if you do, be aware of the reality.
