Post subject: great idear for people who walk their dogs alone Reply with quote

hi
i was out walking merlin today when i met a lady wearing a rape alarm on her bum bag.
i asked what it was and she explaned that as she walks alone every evening at the same time threw the lows (some where great for dogs running off lead in the middle of country side)she is worried about an atack on her!!
i said it was a great idear, what made it even better was when she explaned that if you pull out the tag it goes on for ever, how ever to test it you can press a butten for the sound. she then went on to explane that her dog hates the sound and once when out the tag fell off by its self(court on brambles) and her dog ran home!! - this then ment that her neighbour saw the dog and disided to see if she was out walking the lows and her dog had ran off!! - so the neighbour walked out and found the women who explaned what had happend , so she now feels doubly safe as not only will the auful sound drive the atacker away but the sound will make her dog go find help!!!
what a brilliant idear!! aparantly they are easy to get hold of and are not too expensive.
i then thought if you had a gaurd type dog (merlin would never get it!!!) then you could teach your dog to atack on the sound of the alarm!!! or in merlins case run home and let my oh know!!! - brill

Brilliant idea, unfortunately I live out in the sticks so probably no one would hear it, as when the colder dark nights and mornings come, I'm the only one out and about!!

i think im ok walking jet. as i have learnt her to bark at any time i tell her too and if im kinda scared walking round the park in the evening i tell her to bark at every man she sees and surprisingly she does it.. and most the men are like keep your dog under control or their like ahhhh and none of them never dare come near me lmao.. and with jets size most people dont come near us anyway.. its kinda wierd though the way strangers come over too you when you have a puppy and there like awww so cute but as soon as they grow up they dont even bother. But if i see any one wid a dog whatever the size or age im like awww so cute can i pet him/her, whats it called lol talk for ages..
