Post subject: cats and pigeons Reply with quote

I got home last night, put the tea on while Ash washed the car. He came back in after 5 mins disgusted. Our next door neighbour had gone out shooting in the day and when he come home he had left 2 dead pigeons on the roof of his car and the cats had found them. Now we have pieces of pigeons all over our car park ( ew).

I havnt been out there yet and to be honest i dont realy want to. I dont want my 2 year old son to see them. The worst thing is my neighbour saw the mess lastnight and just ignored it. They were still there when ash put the dog out this morning.

I know you see dead pigeons on the road etc, but to have them ripped to shreds by your house is not very nice. Rolling Eyes Mad

hi
it is totaly iresponsable to leave those birds where a cat or any animal can find them and why does he shoot if he isnt going to eat the targit?
perhaps you could ask him to pass the birds on to some one who will eat them?
when you speak to him behave like you have no problem with the shooting but you dont like to find the mess every where due to hes bone idle ness!
when my partner or father or even a friend shoots i always hang the meat in my cole shed so that it is realy cold but not out side for that exact reasen.
as for your boy i would just take him out like normal and if he says any thing just say that a silly man has shot them and forgotten to eat them.
all my children from the word go understood that what we ate was the goose they had fed at grandads or what ever and they are the most well ajusted kids when death is involved and my boys have even helped pluck some of the birds , even when they were toddlers so just act like it is fine and so will your son !
if you start saying oh dont look or how cruel then he will be worried!

Thanks for the advice! I have a problem with talking to him though as hes in some way disabled ( i say disabled as im not sure whats wrong with him) i cant understand a word he says if im honest!

The pigeons have gone now probably eaten by his cats, im not sure. He was out there shooting last night when normaly he goes off in his car somewhere. I think im going to have to have a word with the council or something!

Maybe one day in this so called quite village i will get a quiet, non troubled day Rolling Eyes

chin up!
why dont you go for a nice day out and forget about the persan giving you all the greife!
have a picknick in the park or a trip out on a bus outings always make me feel better especialy when the problem is where you live - even better try to imagine how awful it would be living next to a group of party animals with people coming and going all night loud music and rubish being thrown over your ajoining garden wall!
that was what my friend had to live with for 6 months untill their tenancy was up , she felt so iritated most of the time she just stayed at mine lots and called the police but nothing was done . why people have to behave so un farely is beyond me !
as for your little boy have you spoken to your healthvisiter about any conserns you have as often little things can detect a problem that can easily be fixed like a hearing problem or a little bit of speach theropy .
hope you have a lovely day in total carmness!

Oh sorry for the confusion its my neighbour i cant understand lol, not my son!

That must of been horrible for your friend, i know i would of hated it. I have a few problems so all i want is a quiet easy life but saying that i suppose everybody does lol! But chatting on here to you all soon cheers me up.

If i could out in for a transfer then i wouldnt hesitate, we have no shops, no park nothing. so while my partner is at work im stuck in this house all the time and i cant even take the dog out for a walk by myself as he is to strong for me.

Thanks for making me feel better though coliel! Very Happy

classic about your son!!!
i must admit the way you worded it did make me worry a liitle bit about your relationship with your son !!!
i honestly thought you were talking about your child !!! i am in stiches of laughter !!!
i am such a nutter !!
back to reality - are you a council tennent?
if you are then im sure you could get a swap their are lotts of people who have a town property who would like to moove to the country.
changing the subject all together again but have you tryed these no pull harneses ? for your dog?
i have a friend who has a lab that pulls your arm off!!!
she now uses a harness that actualy means he cant phisicaly pull, it works brilliantly.
then at least you could go out for walks with your dog and little boy.

I havnt tried one so i might go and get one at the weekend! Thanks for that. At the moment we use a halti which doesnt make much difference. He will just pull me backwards so it comes off! Rolling Eyes

Im with the council but cant swap at the moment due to being in rent arrears a few months ago when my partner lost his job, so we are on our best behaviour at the moment. Very Happy

Thats discusting about your neigbour.
Those pidgeons didnt need to be killed and torn to picies.
Some people so disrespectful.

I cant stand my own. I live in a top flat with my 18month old
son & other half. The people in the flat downstairs are so
inconsiderate. They smoke undernieth my windows so cant
have them open because the room stinks. They even smoke
canabis outside under my windows. There outside day & night
shooting & yelling (no one around here knows how to talk quietly).
The lad that lives down there is a drug dealer & i really dont want my
son to have to live above scum like that. His always workin on his car
in the drive which is below one of my windows and always having the
engine running which drives me nuts. Their friends all hang around near
my front door. They constantly bangin around in the flat & at 4am they
wake me up with her screaming & groaning (sexually) even when i go
into the livin room you can stil hear her. It even wakes my boy up
and i dont want him to hae to listen to that. Its discuting.
Since they've moved in iv had o go to the doctors because im
suffering from depression.
Iv spoken to the homing accosiation but they dont do bugger all.
Its like they dont care. Spoke to social servcies about trying to
help me get moved but they havent been much use.
I dont have a garden just a little drive so thats the only place my
boy can play outside because theres a road outide my flat.
And when downstairs are outside the front (most of the time
when the sun is out) i cant take Zeke out because they intiidate
me.
They have a 9month old & 1 on the way and neither of them go
to work and they have a car each.
My other half works his arse off and we cant even afford a car.

Sorry guys. Went on abit then.

hi
do you know i am so lucky and yet i dont even think about all my neighbours are great , i live in a small markit town , the schools are good and i havea lovely 3 bed house lovely garden with a field at the back and yet only yesterday i was moaning just because my neighnour had left his welie bin out 2 days early as he was going on holiday! - i am such an idiot some times!!!
perhaps you could start making a fuss - call the police , and definatly tell your healthvisiters - they may be able to help you get an exchange or better living acomodation some where else.

Theres me moaning and you are having to put up with worse than me! I suffer from depression to and all my doctor says is exercise! hows that any good or even possible? My son is possile ADHD sufferer, he is nearly 3 now and still gets up in the night screaming, im constantly tired aswell.

I live in a row of 5 houses all joined together and we share a car park. my neighbours on the left are always banging around ( neither of them work!), neighbour on the right is the one that shot the pigeons then iv got next door but one who are realy noisey all day 24/7 and itd them that said this was a quiet village when we moved in.

My partner goes onto night shift permantley next week but the constant noise is going to send him mad!

anyway enough about my neighbours lol. I feel sorry for you especially have drug dealers near you, that must be awful! I used to live in a flat so i can understand the what you mean by the noise!

yeah the fact his a drug dealer really drives me mad.
Thats the worst thing and the fact they dont work and good
honest tax payers have to pay for their kids and stuff. Its not
like either of them are unable to work.
I know i dont work but my partner does and he has to pay
taxes like everyone else. I dont get any extra benifits for not
working anyway.

I will speak to my health visitor. Got to see her Friday anyway.
