They are called Cherry Valley ducks (I think!). At least that is what I was told. Don't think there are many of them about.
Not really sure how well they are eating at the moment. They seem fine but I never see them eat anything but grass!
Think I will have to spend some time sat in my garden this weekend just watching them. Don't get much chance during the week. Will have to take some more pics too.
Anyone else have ducks or chickens? |

ducks eat grass and something like grain or something cant remember, so if you feed them in the morning every day im sure they will be fine

They have a supply of layers pellets and corn all day. That's what I feed my chickens and they all live together. They seem fine so I am sure they are eating.
Guess I just worry because they are not as greedy as my chickens who permanently eat! Gutsy little things they are. |

They don't seem to be. They are a bit daft though. They don't take themselves to bed very well yet. I have just been out to them to make sure they are in and collect the eggs from the hens. Once again they were just sat in the middle of the pen.
So what animals do you have Heather? |

2 dogs, i grew up in farming so i know a bit about farm animals, it might be good for your ducks to have a pond.

They don't have a pond exactly but they do have a paddling pool. they are not keen on that either. They tripped in it a couple of time but just scramble out.
Duh! it does say you have two dogs. Saw that when I went back to look at the messages.
Bet that was great growing up on a farm, or did you get roped into doing too much helping?
Any pics of your dogs on here?
Did you have cows on the farm? I love cows! |
