Post subject: Hello all! I'm back in the UK! Update on my life lol
Hello everyone! I don't know if anyone remembers me, I've not been on here for a while what with "The Big Move" from Japan. It was a giant hassel and cost a lot of money, but I am back in the UK. I miss Japan loads and wish I stayed out there, but ho hum, here I am back in "sunny" England. I live in Reading now, if anyone is near there. I found a house two doors down from where i used to live opposite my favourite pub, to readjusting hasn't been so bad. My two housemates are fantastic and we get on great, which is always a gamble when you move in to a random room from an ad placed on the internet!
Anyway, now for the relevent stuff...my pets...I had some aquatic ceratures in Japan, and the guy who took over my flat and job for me also likes animals and he is taking on the fish and newts for me which was a huge relief as I know they will be looked after well so I was very happy with that.
My new landlord in Reading has agreed to me keeping a "small pet". Off I went to the pet shop today (it's only a small one but they do a good selection of cages) and they did sell a rat cage, but it was a bit small. I am having a bigger one specially built for my two little girly ratties who will arrive on friday! I am so excited I can't even begin to tell you! I will collect the cage and rats on friday. They get thier animals from small private breeders that they know well, and they spend time with the animals in the shop. For example, there is a lone female rat in the shop (not ideal they know but she was left behind from a litter) and they have spent time taming her, and thier parrots talk and seem quite content on thier perches. I think as pet shops go, this is a fairly decent one so I feel happy buying my animals and supplies from there.
Sorry, that was really long, doubt people got to the end of all that but I just wanted to update you all and express my excitement about ym rats! I had so much disappointment a few months ago with not being able to get a dog, then not being able to get a cat, I am just thrilled that the rats are actually going to arrive!!!! And I wanted to get back into the pet chat clan! Hope everyone is well! I will be a much more regular user in a week when we get a proper internet connection...at the moment im knicking wireless...tut tut... x x x

No kitten unfortunately. You see, I broke up with my boyfriend who I was meant to be living with when I came back to england, and we were going to have a cat. But now my life has changed a lot and I am livign with two other people in a hosueshare so I can't get a pet. I can well understand it, I don't want to take over the hosue they have been living in with cat hair lol, and they are great housemates, would be a shame to make things awkward by forcing a kitten they don't want on them. So rats which i can keep in my room is a better option. I might never come out of my room if I have my gorgeous ratties in there lol

Oh no, it was a good thing the break up, to cut a long story short, I am much happier this way! My new housemates are great and the house is nice. I hate living on my own. I would rather live with people, as much as I love cats, given the choice. This way, I get human company every day as well as pet rats! I couldnt be happier!

Yup it's all worked out pretty well. Of course, I will posting pics of the new baby ratties as soon as I can! Sometime at the weekend possibly, I can't wait to be able to show you guys a picture of a pet I actually own for a change! They will be my little rats, I haven't had a pet in ages! I am so excited!
