Post subject: Should I bring my Rabbit and guinea pigs inside in Winter?
Hello everyone. The nights are getting longer which means Winter is on its way kind of but I'm not sure if i should put my animals inside. I have a shed which is pretty unhabited. I say pretty unhabited because back in the days when my sister kept her animals in there, there were creepy crawlies every where you looked and very occasionally we would get wild mice in there but i havent seen any recently. I do at the moment put a blanket over there hutches at night and they have lots of hay to keep them warm so please can you give me some advice? I keep my rabbits out all winter, with a cover over their hutches. I have done this with all my rabbits and guinea pigs, and they have come to no harm. But if you have a shed available it wouldn't hurt to put them in there. ____________ Dog: Katie

we keep Rosie (rabbit) out all winter too. the only time we need to bring her in is wen there are loud noises like on guy fox night or if its thudering etc
but she still likes the odd day in the house to explore, as you probably already know watch for wire nibbling as rosie recently ate my brothers PS2 remote wire she loves the attention the little madam.
what your doing now is fine. keep up the good work. ____________ Lisa Ianniello

Rabbits tend to be pretty hardy, but guinea pigs aren't. I suggest you put the guineas in the shed at least. I'm assuming the bun and gps aren't housed together?
