It used to be a yes as the cats started off as house cats and didn't go outside. Now they do and happily they tend to do their business outside, but I keep one just in case as they are shut inside at night, if they didn't have one they'd happily wee on the front doormat!

I always had a litter tray for nemo ( sadly not with me anymore) and mally when they were kittens and i kept it in the house even when they went out but mally showed no interest in using it and nemo copied her. They decided to use it like a child would use a sand pit, which made loads of mess so that got thrown out.
Even now Mally is back at my dads she still goes outside. I think the only time she would need one again was if she had an upset stomach ____________
