While me and my partner was out and about on sunday night i spotted something on the other side of the road. Me being paranoid as usual asked my partner to turn back round so i could see what it was. When we reached it, i realised that it was a cat. I went out to see if if was alive but sadly it wasnt Sad There was a collar on it but no address and being 2am i couldnt of woke the owner up anyway. I guess what i am trying to stay is why are some people so heartless to leave there in the middle of the road to die Evil or Very Mad I know i could of been killed instantly but moving it out of the road would of been the least they could do.

I cant stop thinking about that poor cat now and i keep wondering what if i had found him/her earlier? Its brought back all the pain i felt when some idiot ran my cat over and left it to struggle across the road and die. I know that it wasnt an accident as there were speed bumps wher my cat had been hit so someone must have been going rather fast to have hit him and i hope they get whats coming to them!

sorry to sound angry but it realy has upset me and i have been thinking about it all week Crying or Very sad

Anyway rant over

Aww, hunny, I know, it is upsetting, people bring RTA cats into work saying they saw the cat run over and the driver just sped away Sad I for one would be mortified if I ran one over and would feel the least I could do was take it to the vets, even if it was dead, at least they could scan it for a microchip and see if they could identify its owner.
As you say, some people Evil or Very Mad

ww the poor lil thing.

Some people are just evil. it gets me furious.

The other month i went for a walk with Zeke and Tim
and came back the same way and within the 2hours
some evil person had ran over a hedgehog on purose.
I know it wasnt a accident because it had lituraly been ran
over as its body was flatin the middle and it was right up
against the curb aswell and who drives along the curb??
no one. so they mush have seen it then aimed for it.

Its just pure evilness. People like that need hanging!!!!

Omg that is awful! I saw a baby hedgehog in the road going back a few months ago now. we turned round straight away as i wanted to move him out of harms way. when we turned round ( which took us all of 30 seconds) someone had already ran over it. That made me feel awful aswell Sad

Its very sad when any animal is a vicitm of an RTI, but as the nights draw in we will see too many more I am afriad.

Its worth phoning the local council highways dept if you see a dead cat, they have a book that they record the deaths in, that way if someone phones them asking they can tell them definatively from the description.
