Hi All
We are about to migrate to warmer climes and need to find a home for our little dog. She is 8 years old and is of no particular breed, do know she has cross terrier in her. Has a poor temperament and can be a little snappy. Unfortunately we thought the familly would be taking her on, due to other commitments this is no longer the case. As we are due to migrate to Lanzarote end of this month we are eager to find a good home for her. Ideally we believe a single older person would suit her best. Her name is Cassie and we are in Essex, around the Braintree area. Should anyone have any ideas on how best we could rehome her we would be eternally grateful.
P.S. This is not a "For Sale" request just looking for a good home. |

OK, there is a rescue called The Oldies club, they help rehome older dogs
www.oldies.org.uk
Worth getting in touch with them.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for your replies about my little dog.
I really would love to take her with me but unfortunately she would hate the hot weather in Lanzarote. She really struggles in the hot weather here during the summer so it really wouldn't be fair to expect her to cope with how hot it gets out there.
Believe me I would not leave her behind if I didn't have to. I Love the little old thing to peices and it will break my heart to see her go, which is why I really need to find her a good, loving home. Ideally she would be better placed with a single man or woman as she is perfect in a one to one situation. She doesn't like too many people around. She hasn't got the best of temperaments.
I have never heard of the Oldies re-homing centre. Maybe if I can't find her a good home very soon I will have to try them.
Thanks again for all your replies and keep them coming if anyone knows of a single person in the Braintree area looking for a companion.
