Hi Everyone
Can anyone tell if how can you tell if your dog has had a stroke or something of that nature?.
I am not sure if my dog has had one, but she is 10 1/2 years old, and she has been acting very odd today. Well this evening she sort of kept wanting everyones attention (getting in everyones way), she kept on panting, cant reallly settle, and walking all over the place, and when you ask her for her left paw she even struggles with that. She is not a happy doggy at the moment, awww bless her.
I wondered if she might have had a mini stroke or something, I don't really know. I am just so worried, you know. I suppose I will see how she is tomorrow, if she is any better.
Sorry for the ranting, or whatever.

I have seen several dogs that have had strokes. One thing that is usually affected it their walking...they often topple over. Their head can also be over to one side. I think it would be best if you took your dog to the vets to have it checked out. Good Luck! ____________ Dog: Katie

My Bichon Titch had a stroke - his legs were affected; he was very affectionate and craved love and cuddles.
Let us know how he is tomorrow x if your worried at all then you really sould be safe rather than sorry and see a vet asap. |

Hi Everyone
Many Thanks for those who posted, well my dogs seems much better today, she managed to run down the stairs ok, she gives us her paw when asked, ok. I just don't really know what happened last night, perhaps I was over reacting, she just wasn't right.
I suppose we will have to just wait and see how she gets on, and see if anything else happens, but at the moment she is ok.
Once again many thanks to those that posted.
Cheers
