Hi guys , im just looking for some information on motorised scooters because no i am 16 i am looking to get one but i need some info / advice on the following :
Average price for insurance per year
Average Price for Tax
Are they safe ?
Am i fully legal to drive one at 16 ?
Any other info feel welcome to post

im not sure about tax, i think there legal on the road if you pass your test i think not sure
look up the DVLA on the net about them
think the test is different from driving a car

Have a look at this site for legal requirements www.scotriders.co.uk and for insurance try somewhere like www.confused.com.
For best make and model etc talk to your friends that have them or even better get your parents to talk to their parents (you have to keep us oldies inthe loop you know - it's so much better for when you ask for money lol)

| My son has just chosen the moped that he wants in a couple of months time. I will try and get him to post some pics but basically it looks like an Orange County Chopper, is 50cc 5 bhp and can do 50 mph instead of the usual 40. Its £700 and the insurance is £400 in my name with him as a named rider. |
