So, this story isn't particularly long or amazing, but I felt I wanted to share it anyway.
When we moved house we had two cats. We decided to go for a third one, so we went along to our local rescue home. I hate going to those places, because you just want to take everything home with you (and if I lived on a farm with loads of land, I would!).
Anyway, we went in there and my wife was in tears, she just couldn't pick cause they were all cute. I happened to notice a gorgeous little cat in the corner and I commented on her. Anyway, they heard me and went to open the cage while I was looking at another cat, and before I could turn around the cat had come out of the cage, climbed up my leg and sat on my shoulder purring.
Well, needless to say I didn't need to make a choice after that. My wife just nodded, and that's how we got Chloe. It amazes me that they said she'd been there four weeks, and no-one wanted her. Apparently everyone wants designer cats, not boring old black and white ones. Luckily this rescue home keep their animals permanently, well until someone takes them home. They even have a geriatric section, which is quite sweet really.
It seems that upstairs is her domain, and though she will kind of do with you downstairs, the instant I start walking up the stairs I get all kinds of cute noises from her and she follows me EVERYWHERE. Sian just says that she is a daddys girl - I guess she must be!
We got Coco Bean a few months after, and needless to say our Christmas trees didn't stand a chance that year!

Chloe really does look like Scooby, especially because the second picture of Chloe doesn't actually look like her much (you get those kind of photos every now and then). I'll find some other pictures of her - there are more, but for some reason when you have the filename "something&something.jpg", this forum doesn't like the "&" and wont show it.
I can't say I don't love all the attention she gives me, but occasionally it's a bit much - like this morning, at 5:45am in the bathroom trying to clean my teeth, she was climbing up my back to say good morning. It's a bit distracting when your tired
I quite often find her on our dining room table too, laying flat out on her back, legs in the air, catching the morning sun - that always makes me laugh! I'll have to take a photo sometime.
And is it just me, or does everyones' cats find the nicest place to sleep is a pile of newly washed clothes?
