Hello one and all.
Hope everyone is ok? Well as you all know i have recently moved in with my friend after we have both split from our partners. I have bought with me my hammy,my rats, and my 2 dogs.
Last weekend my housemate came home with the most gorgeous little kitten, and she has named her megan. The dogs love her and play gently with her. Megan is using her litter tray everytime and has had no accidents and she is also eating very well. Sarah (my friend) wanted to give her a mix of dried food aswell as wet food ( using whiskers kitten pouches). When giving her the food from the pouches she eats like there is no tomorrow lol However she doesnt seem to keen on the dry food,is this normal? Sarah didnt know whether to try her on the dry food when she is a bit older,or just not to bother at all with it |

well as you all know through reading my first post in this topic,we have a new edition to the household, and she is called megan. We also have a second kitten now as even though the dogs like her and get on with her,she tried playing with them and they didnt want to know. So sarah got a new kitten,a little boy who is yet to be named, any ideas anyone?
The kittens will be getting spayed etc...asap as we dont want any accidents and more kittens. The kittens get on so well, and play together great. The little boy is toilet trained but has had a few accidents. I now feel like the family is complete pictures will be posted asap for u all to see |

i love the name
and it sound like she really fitted in well
its totally nomal for her to eat all the wet food and not the dry
if you leave the dry down inthe day she night pick at it when there no wet food about.
what dry food are u trying here on?
royal cannin do a really good kitten dry food what smell good and its a little bit more moist than the other
hope that helps
p.s would love to see some pic of megan

Try putting a little bit of gravy on the dry food to make it a bit softer until the kittens teeth get stronger and they are more able to cope with it.
I feed my furry carpet - I mean 9 cats wet food during the day but leave dry food down at night for them to nibble on instead of my ankles.
Has the new boy been named yet? Oh and just so you feel better about it tom cats are harder to house train than girlies - they like to mark their territory; get him done or risk him spraying your home with his scent.
And where are the pics? |

Yea, dry food is a popular unfavourite. Anyway sounds like one big happy family now.

Sounds like you are going to have lots of fun! won't need a TV this winter.
Don't forget that some cats don't like to share litter trays. It is usually best to have one more litter tray than there are cats so that there is always a clean one available.
Let's see some piccies then! |
